Dhaka: The Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) set a humanitarian example by standing by a mentally ill woman, official sources said today: The Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) demonstrated compassion and quick action when they came to the aid of a mentally ill woman in labor at Dewanhat crossing in Chattogram city.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a police team noticed the woman in distress around noon on Friday. Recognizing her urgent need for medical assistance, the officers, along with some female pedestrians, promptly intervened. They provided support and swiftly transported her to a nearby hospital to ensure she received the necessary care for a safe delivery.



Sources confirmed that both the woman and her newborn are now in good health. This act of kindness by the police has been met with widespread appreciation from local residents, highlighting the positive impact of their initiative.
