Chattogram: Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested 81 persons, including 35 snatchers, in a citywide operation over the past 24 hours. The arrests took place in different parts of Chattogram through operations conducted until Saturday noon as part of CMP's ongoing Operation 'S-Drive,' aimed at curbing criminal activities.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Chattogram Metropolitan Police Senior Assistant Commissioner (Public Relations) Aminur Rashid stated that the operation also led to the detention of 13 drug dealers, 18 gamblers, and four members of an extortionist gang. Cases have been filed against the arrested individuals at the relevant police stations, and they have been sent to court.
