Gopalganj: City Club blanked Brothers Union Club by 3-0 goals in the opening match of the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) at Gopalganj District Stadium in Gopalganj.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, forward Emamul Islam Gazi put City Club ahead in the 28th minute of the match. The lead was doubled by Nigerian forward Onyekachi Okafor, who scored the second goal for City Club in the 34th minute.
After the break, forward Rafiqul Islam completed the winners' tally by scoring the third goal in the 74th minute, securing a decisive victory for City Club in the opening match of the league.
