Khulna: Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Faiz Ahmed Taiyeb, today emphasized that the personal data of service seekers is a trust deposited with entrepreneurs. He warned that any uncoordinated or improper handling of such data could pose serious security risks to citizens. Taiyeb was speaking as the chief guest at an orientation and capacity-building training programme on "Nagorik Seba Bangladesh" at the Khulna District Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Taiyeb highlighted the government's recent launch of the "Nagorik Seba Bangladesh" initiative, aimed at reducing public harassment and saving citizens' time and effort. The platform will enable people to access various public services from a single interface. Taiyeb noted that entrepreneurs across different regions of the country are being trained to ensure efficient service delivery.
Taiyeb called on entrepreneurs to work with a mindset focused on earning public trust and confidence in citizen services. He stated that the government remains neutral regarding the national parliamentary election but supports a "Yes" vote in the upcoming referendum. Taiyeb urged citizens to vote 'Yes' to build a welfare-oriented, equitable, and discrimination-free country.
The programme was presided over by Deputy Commissioner A S M Zamshed Khondaker, with a2i Project Director Md Abdur Rafiq and Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Sifat Mehnaz attending as special guests. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Kaniz Fatema Liza delivered the welcome address, and a2i Head of Management Abdullah Al Fahim presented a concept paper on entrepreneurship.
The event also saw the presence of Chief Technology Adviser Mohammad Masudur Rahman, Senior Consultant (Deputy Secretary) Fazlul Zahid Pavel, and Head of Communication Mohammad Safiul Azam. Nearly 500 entrepreneurs from Khulna, Bagerhat, Satkhira, and Jashore districts participated in the training programme.
