Patuakhali: Corrugated iron (CI) sheets and financial assistance were distributed among 49 flood-affected families in Bauphal upazila of the district today. Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief distributed 69 corrugated tin boxes among the families who have been impacted by sudden floods and fires.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Aminul Islam distributed the CI sheets and cash assistance as the chief guest at a function held at the upazila parishad premises. Each affected family received Taka 3,000 in cash to aid in repairing their damaged houses.
Project Implementation Officer Mostafa Maidul Morshed Murad, Baufal Press Club President Jalilur Rahman, and Reporters Unity President Siddiqur Rahman, among others, were present on the occasion.
