Minister of the International Department Central Committee Communist Party of China Liu Jianchao greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her 76th birthday Wednesday.
“I would like to extend to you, on behalf of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and in my own name, our heartiest happy birthday wishes. May your life be filled with health, prosperity and success!” he wrote.
“The Communist Party of China is ready to make concerted efforts with the Bangladesh Awami League to further deepen political mutual trust and intensify exchanges on governance experience, thus playing our positive role in ensuring the sustained, steady development of China-Bangladesh relations for the benefit of our two countries and two peoples,” the minister added.
The Bangladesh prime minister’s birthday was celebrated today. Hasina, the eldest among the five children of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, was born at Tungipara in Gopalganj on September 28 in 1947.
The prime minister, also the president of the ruling Awami League, is now in the US.
