Rajshahi:China claimed both the girls' singles and doubles titles at the 31st International Under-18 Junior Tennis Tournament held at the Rajshahi Tennis Complex.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in the girls' singles final, China's Jimo Song triumphed over her compatriot Jensi Dong with a decisive 6-0, 6-0 victory, securing the title without losing a game.

The Chinese duo of Xiang Jiang and Shuang Zhu later seized the girls' doubles title after a more challenging final match.

Tournament referee Joy Mukherjee remarked on the dominant performance of the Chinese players, highlighting Song's singles final as particularly one-sided and commending the team's overall success throughout the tournament.

In the boys' singles category, Thailand's Likul Partcharapul is set to face Taiwan's Jiche Chen in the final on Saturday. Partcharapul reached the final by defeating Chun Kiu Lok from Hong Kong, while Chen advanced by winning against China's Fang Tianyi.

Mukherjee anticipates a competitive boys' singles final, noting that both players have high rankings and have overcome several difficult matches to reach the final stage.

The tournament, which began on October 5, will conclude on Saturday and features participation from over 100 players representing 10 countries, including host nation Bangladesh.
