Dhaka: The chiefs of Bangladesh's three services visited former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who is currently receiving medical treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital. The visit took place tonight.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the service chiefs - Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan - arrived at the hospital around 9:00 pm. They met with the medical board overseeing Khaleda Zia's treatment to inquire about her health status and departed the hospital at approximately 9:20 pm.
Khaleda Zia is being treated under the supervision of Professor Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder. Her physicians have reported that her condition is stable. She is currently in the coronary care unit (CCU) of the hospital and will need time for a full recovery.
Her family, including her elder son Tarique Rahman and his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman from London, are closely monitoring her condition. Additionally, Syeda Sharmila Rahman Sithi, the wife of the late Arafat Rahman Koko, is present at her side.
