Chief Adviser’s Relief Fund Reaches Over 97 Crores Following Recent Donations.

DHAKA: Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk E Azam, Bir Protik today, on behalf of Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, received cheques totaling Taka 20 lakhs and seven thousand from various organizations and individuals for the victims of recent floods. After receiving the donation at his ministry office this afternoon, the adviser expressed gratitude to the contributors for their support to the flood victims, as stated in a ministry press release.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, among the contributors, Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL) donated Taka 15 lakhs, Beacon Pharmaceuticals contributed Taka three lakhs, and Masud Pervej gave Taka 2 lakhs seven thousand. These donations are part of the ongoing efforts to aid those affected by the floods.

So far, the disaster and relief ministry has received 331 bank instruments, amounting to a total of Taka 97, 18, 59,203, donated by various organizations and individuals to the Chief Adviser’s relief fund.
