Chief Adviser Yunus Extends Greetings on 77th IEB Anniversary and Engineers Day

Dhaka: Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus today extended his heartiest greetings and congratulations to the engineering community on the occasion of the 77th Foundation Anniversary of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and Engineers Day.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in a message on the eve of the day, Prof Yunus highlighted the establishment of the IEB on 7 May 1948, driven by the ideal of ‘Build a better world.’ He emphasized that technological and engineering developments are crucial for accelerating national progress, noting that new knowledge and discoveries continue to enrich the field of information technology.



Prof Yunus urged engineers to stay engaged with the latest advances in engineering and technological knowledge to maintain pace with global developments. He stressed that in this era of globalization, national development is intricately linked to advancements in technology and engineering knowledge, with engineers playing an indispensable role in achieving overall development and building a modern, developed Bangladesh.



The chief adviser expressed hope that engineers would contribute to the country’s development with honesty and dedication, embodying a spirit of unwavering patriotism. He extended his best wishes for the success of all the programs undertaken to commemorate the 77th founding anniversary of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).
