Chattogram: The Chattogram phase of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to commence tomorrow at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, featuring two matches.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the first match of the day will see Dhaka Capitals face off against Fortune Barishal as they aim for their second victory in the tournament. Dhaka Capitals recently ended a six-match losing streak with a record-setting performance, scoring 254-1 to secure a 149-run win against Durbar Rajshahi. This victory has kept their playoff hopes alive. Liton Das played a remarkable innings, scoring 125 not out off 52 balls, which included the fastest century by a Bangladeshi player in BPL history. His opening partner, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, contributed with a 108 off 64 balls, and together they set a BPL record with a 241-run partnership.
Barishal, with three wins in five matches, currently holds the third spot in the points table. Rangpur Riders lead the table, having won all seven of their matches so far.
In the day's second match, Chittagong Kings will face Khulna Tigers as they look to strengthen their hold on the second position. Chittagong Kings have won three of their four matches, while Khulna Tigers sit in fourth place with two wins from five matches.
