Khulna: Islami Andolon Bangladesh Ameer Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, widely recognized as Pir Saheb Charmonai, has called for action against extortionists, corrupt individuals, and tender manipulators to foster development and humanitarian welfare in the country. Speaking at a conference for Ulema and dignitaries in Rupsa upazila of Khulna, he emphasized the need to expose these wrongdoers to enable collective action against them.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Pir Saheb highlighted Khulna’s historical significance as a stronghold of Islam and commended the organizational efforts in the areas of Rupsa, Terokhada, and Dighalia. During the event, he introduced the party’s Secretary General and local resident, Hafiz Maulana Principal Yunus Ahmad, as the Islami Andolon candidate for the Khulna-4 constituency, running under the “Hand Fan” electoral symbol.
The conference was chaired by Rupsa unit president Maulana Yusuf Ali and conducted by its secretary Maulana Harunur Rashid. Special guests included Nayeb-e-Ameer and Khulna-3 candidate Hafiz Maulana Principal Abdul Awal, along with Khulna-4 candidate Principal Yunus Ahmad. The speakers at the event pledged to prioritize the improvement of communication infrastructure, the creation of employment opportunities for the unemployed, and the enhancement of healthcare and education facilities across the region if elected.
