Charmonai: Charmonai Pir Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, Amir of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, has conveyed Eid greetings to the people of the country. In a message today, he said that throughout the month of Ramadan, Muslim devotees engaged in fasting and spiritual devotion, striving to attain piety, avoid sins, and increase acts of virtue. As a result, a kind of purification has taken place in individual lives, he said.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rezaul Karim noted that this spiritual engagement has fostered interest and habituation towards observing Sharia in national life. He emphasized that true success will be achieved if this continuity can be maintained in both personal and national life even after Eid. Rezaul Karim highlighted that Eid is a religious act of devotion, recalling how Hazrat Umar (RA) used to weep on Eid out of fear that his sins might not be forgiven, thus underscoring the importance of preserving religious solemnity in Eid celebrations.
He further stressed the need for vigilance to prevent foreign cultural practices from influencing Eid celebrations. Muhammad Rezaul Karim pointed out that Eid is a traditional festival of Bengalis, deeply rooted in the traditions from the Sultanate and Mughal periods. He advocated for using the festival as a means to promote social harmony and strengthen interpersonal relationships.
Addressing party leaders and activists, Rezaul Karim urged them to support the poor and helpless in society. He emphasized the importance of empathy towards those who conceal their poverty for social reasons. He called upon everyone to work collectively to ensure that no one in society is deprived of the joy of Eid.
