Narayanganj: The investigation into the much-discussed murder of Tanvir Muhammad Tawki in Narayanganj has been completed, and the charge sheet of the case will be submitted to the court soon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, RAB-11 Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel H.M. Sajjad Hossain announced this development at a press conference held at the RAB Media Centre in Karwan Bazar. He stated that the investigation into the Tawki murder case is in its final stage, and after the verification of all collected information and evidence, the charge sheet will be submitted shortly.
Tawki, an A-level student who achieved the world's highest marks in Chemistry and Physics, went missing on March 6, 2013, from Narayanganj. His body was discovered two days later by police in the Kumudini canal of the Shitalakshya River.
Tawki's father, Rafiur Rabbi, has alleged that his son was abducted and murdered under the instruction of the then Member of Parliament Shamim Osman. Rabbi further claimed that Tawki was tortured and killed in a 'torture cell' operated by Shamim's nephew, Azmeri Osman.
