Officials-employees of the office of Controller General of Accounts (CGA) today observed the National Mourning Day and 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with due respect.
The programmes included Quarn Khawani, doa mahfil, discussion and screening of a documentary, said a CGA press release.
Quarn Khawani was held at CGS mosque in the morning. Officials-employees led by CGA Ms. Fahmida Islam placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu on the office premises. A documentary on the life and work of Father of the nation Bangabandhu was screened and a discussion was held with CGA Ms Fahmida Islam in the chair at the conference room, said the press release.
The officials and employees offered doa seeking peace of the souls of Bangabandhu, other martyrs of August 15, four national leaders and freedom fighters. They also sought prosperity and welfare of the country.
Chief accounts and finance officers of all ministries, divisional controller of accounts (Dhaka) and other high officials of CGA were present at the programme.
