Central Coordination Council Convenes for Army-Run Schools Meeting

Dhaka: A two-day meeting of the Central Coordination Council for the 63 cantonment public and English-medium schools and colleges operated by the Bangladesh Army took place at the Army Multipurpose Complex in Dhaka Cantonment. The meeting, held on Wednesday and Thursday, focused on enhancing the educational contributions of these institutions.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shameem, who serves as the President of the Central Coordination Council and Chief of General Staff of the Bangladesh Army, was present as the chief guest. During his address, he emphasized the need to make the role of army-run educational institutions in education expansion more dynamic and accelerated.

The meeting addressed various policy matters and other overarching issues concerning these educational institutions. Significant decisions were reached to guide the future direction of the Bangladesh Army-run schools and colleges.

Key participants included the chief coordinator of the meeting, the director of the education directorate, the director general of the Department of Military Lands and Cantonments, principals of all army-run educational institutions, and other military officers, all of whom contributed to the discussions and decisions at the coordination meeting.
