Chattogram: The election to the Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is set to take place on April 4. The deadline for the collection of voter ID cards has been established as March 31, with voters being urged to gather their ID cards by submitting the necessary documents.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Joint Secretary of the CCCI, Nurul Absar Chowdhury, emphasized in a press release on Saturday that organizations which have not yet obtained their voter ID cards are reminded to do so. They must submit their updated original chamber certificates during office hours before the deadline to ensure eligibility to vote in the chamber elections.
Voter ID cards are essential for participating in the voting process for the biennial elections of CCCI-2025, which will be conducted on April 4, 2026, from 9 am to 4 pm at the World Trade Center, Agrabad. The decision on the election date follows the legal opinion provided by the Ministry of Commerce.
The election will involve the selection of 18 directors from the Ordinary and Associate Group of the CCCI. The announcement regarding the election date has been disseminated through multiple channels, including the Chamber’s notice board, website, and Facebook page, and members have been notified via SMS.
This election was initially slated for November 1 but was postponed by the court on October 30, 2025.
