Khulna: A cattle trader lost his life and three others, including a child, sustained injuries after a cattle-laden nasimon, a three-wheeler, overturned in Koyra upazila of Khulna. The deceased has been identified as Mizanur Rahman, who was the son of Maulana Samsur Rahman from Khirol village under Amadi union in the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the tragic accident took place around 2 pm in front of Islampur Government Primary School. The vehicle was en route to the Bagali JIB Club ground cattle market when it overturned, as confirmed by police and eyewitnesses. The incident resulted in the immediate death of Mizanur Rahman at the scene.
Local residents promptly responded to the accident by rescuing the injured and admitting them to Koyra Upazila Health Complex. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were later transferred to Jaigir Mohol Health Complex for further medical treatment.
Koyra Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Shah Alam confirmed that police officials visited the site following the incident to conduct inquiries.
