Dhaka:An 11-day Cantonese food festival named "House of Canton" has commenced, providing food enthusiasts with the chance to savor authentic Chinese delicacies prepared by both visiting and local chefs.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the festival will run until November 14 at The Garden Kitchen, located on the 14th floor of Sheraton Dhaka in Banani.
Chinese Masterchef Xu Delin, along with Chef Sait Dursun and Sheraton Dhaka's culinary experts Chef Mahbubur Rashid Akhand and Chef Dulak Paul, are set to offer a wide array of Cantonese specialties across seven dedicated culinary stations.
The event was officially inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Felix Chang, president of the Overseas Chinese Association in Bangladesh (OCAIB), and its vice-president Vivian Huang. Also present were Md. Shakawath Hossain, CEO of Unique Hotel and Resorts, and Gary Farstad, General Manager of The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka.
