Dhaka: Canadian High Commissioner in Dhaka Ajit Singh today paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman. The meeting took place at Rahman's political office in Gulshan around 11:30 am, as confirmed by BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Canadian envoy and the BNP chairman exchanged greetings and engaged in discussions on enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between Canada and Bangladesh. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties and explore opportunities for collaboration between the two nations.
BNP Joint Secretary General and member of the Chairman's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee, Humayun Kabir, along with BNP Chairman's Advisory Council member, Dr. Mahadi Amin, were also present during the meeting. Their presence highlighted the importance of the discussion and the BNP's commitment to fostering international relationships.
