Dhaka:Students from the nation's 12 cadet colleges have achieved remarkable results in this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, with all 569 candidates passing and 536 securing a GPA-5.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the overall pass rate for the cadet colleges stood at 100 percent, while the GPA-5 achievement rate was an impressive 94.20 percent, as reported by an ISPR release.

These cadet colleges operate as residential educational institutions under the Ministry of Defence, directly overseen by the Adjutant General of the Bangladesh Army, who also chairs the Cadet College Governing Council. The institutions focus on developing cadets into disciplined and responsible citizens, balancing academic excellence with character building and extracurricular activities.

The colleges regularly update their academic and extracurricular programs to ensure cadets are well-prepared for modern challenges and can achieve respectable societal positions. The release credits the colleges' disciplined learning environment, experienced faculty guidance, and the cadets' dedication and perseverance for their consistent academic success.

The success is also attributed to the effective guidance from the Cadet College Governing Council, leadership from principals and vice-principals, and the collective efforts of teachers, officials, employees, and parents, as stated by the ISPR.
