London: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus arrived in London today for a four-day official visit to the United Kingdom aimed at strengthening bilateral relations. “A flight of Emirates Airlines carrying the Chief Adviser and his entourage landed at Heathrow International Airport at about 7.05 am (London time),” Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder told BSS. Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Abida Islam received Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the airport.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, acting Foreign Secretary Ruhul Alam Siddique announced that the visit will include significant engagements such as an audience with His Majesty King Charles III and bilateral talks with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy is also expected to meet with the Chief Adviser during his stay.

In recognition of his global contributions, Professor Yunus has been nominated by King Charles III for the ‘King Charles III Harmony Award 2025’. This award acknowledges his lifelong work to promote peace, sustainability, and harmony between people and the environment.
