CA Highlights Role of Diploma Engineers on Public Engineering Day

Dhaka: Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus today issued a message on the occasion of the ‘Public Engineering Day 2025’ and the 55th founding anniversary of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB). Public Engineering Day is celebrated in Bangladesh on 8th November, coinciding with the founding anniversary of IDEB.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Yunus extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all members of IDEB in his message. He emphasized the importance of this year’s theme, ‘Skilled manpower – the cornerstone of nation building,’ acknowledging its relevance to the current national context. He highlighted that a nation’s true strength is not solely dependent on its natural resources but also on the knowledge, skills, and creativity of its people.



Dr. Yunus noted the significant role that diploma engineers have played in Bangladesh’s development journey. Their contributions span across infrastructure, industry, and various other sectors, providing essential service and technical expertise that have been foundational to building a modern economy. IDEB, as a leading professional organization, has been instrumental in nurturing this skilled workforce, promoting technical education, and encouraging innovation for sustainable growth.



The Chief Adviser expressed his firm belief that with continued commitment, professionalism, and innovative spirit, IDEB members will remain at the forefront of nation-building efforts, contributing to inclusive development and the realization of national aspirations. He also wished success to all the programs undertaken to commemorate Public Engineering Day and IDEB’s founding anniversary.
