Dhaka: Two people lost their lives when a bus collided with a human hauler, known locally as a Leguna, in the Jatrabari area of the capital.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the victims were identified as Azizul Islam, 58, and Saiful Islam, 55. Azizul was the son of Salam Mridha, and Saiful was the son of Lokman Khandaker, both hailing from the Gendaria area. The tragic incident unfolded around 9 am in the Mir Hazaribagh area when the bus hit the human hauler, resulting in injuries to the two men.
Inspector Faruk, who is in charge of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital Police camp, reported that the injured individuals were promptly transported to the hospital’s emergency department. Despite the medical efforts, the doctors declared them dead upon arrival.
