Noakhali: BNP Vice Chairman and Noakhali-3 Parliament Member Md Barkat Ullah Bulu today asserted that individuals who deny the Liberation War have no right to engage in politics in Bangladesh. He emphasized that rejecting the sacrifices of three million martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War and denying the violation of two hundred thousand women’s honour equates to betraying the nation.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bulu made these remarks during the inauguration ceremony of the Noakhali Industry and Trade Fair at Maijdi Housing Balu Field. He pointed out that those who deny the Liberation War betray the blood of the martyrs and the honour of the women affected during the conflict.

Bulu also addressed issues related to the 13th parliamentary elections, criticizing those who misled impoverished women by promising ‘tickets to Paradise’ in exchange for votes, which he said distorts religious beliefs. He stressed that no one has the authority to guarantee entry into Paradise, as it is dependent on Allah’s will and an individual’s conduct, worship, and service to humanity.

He accused those who used religion to influence votes of deviating from the true path of Islam and corrupting the faith, underscoring that even the Prophet of Allah did not guarantee Paradise to anyone.
