BSF Pushes 153 People into Bangladesh Through Sylhet Borders

Sylhet: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) today pushed 153 individuals into Bangladesh through the Sylhet and Moulovibazar borders, according to the security and law enforcement officials. Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained these individuals as they were pushed in through the borders.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BGB-52 Captain Lieutenant Colonel Mehedi Hasan reported that the detainees included 32 people from the Nayabazar border of Beanibazar upazila in Sylhet district, 79 from the Latu border, and 42 from the Pallathal border of Borolekha upazila in Moulovibazar district. Following interrogation, their identities were confirmed as Bangladeshi nationals.



Of the 153 individuals, 51 are children, 49 are males, and the remaining are women. They have been handed over to the Beanibazar and Borolekha police stations for further processing.
