Kurigram: The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has pushed 15 individuals into Bangladesh through separate border points in Chaklahat union and Amorkhan union borders of Sadar upazila of the district. Of them, 10 individuals were pushed into Bangladesh in the early hours of today through the Khuniya Para border of Chaklahat union. Besides, five individuals were pushed in through Amarkhana border.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained the individuals after they were pushed into Bangladeshi territory. The BGB, responsible for safeguarding the border, promptly took action following the incident.
The detained individuals were subsequently handed over to the Sadar thana. This incident highlights ongoing border management challenges in the region, necessitating cooperation and dialogue between the neighboring countries to address such issues effectively.
