Thakurgaon: A three-day buyer-seller meeting organized by BSCIC concluded today at the Thakurgaon Public Club Ground. As part of the event, a seminar titled 'Possibilities, Challenges and Do's in Marketing of Agro-based Industries' was conducted, drawing attention from officials of relevant government departments, prominent industrialists, businessmen, and local entrepreneurs.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was presided over by Thakurgaon BSCIC District Office Deputy Manager Hafizur Rahman. The seminar featured a keynote paper presented by Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud, a professor from the Department of Food Engineering and Technology at Dinajpur Haji Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University. Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Nazmul Haque Sumon attended the meeting as the chief guest, while Ziaul Haque, Deputy General Manager (Administration) of BSCIC Dhaka, and Jahangir Alam, Additional Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Thakurgaon, participated as special guests.
Earlier, from November 18 to 27, a fair was held at the same venue, featuring more than 50 stalls. The event aimed to facilitate networking between buyers and sellers and promote agro-based industries in the region. At the conclusion of the seminar, certificates and prizes were awarded to participants in the BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair.
