According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BRUCSU Election Commission announced the publication of the draft voter list in a notice signed by all six of its members. This announcement was made public through a press release on Saturday evening. The draft list contains the names of university students who are eligible to vote in the upcoming elections.
The draft voter list is set to be displayed on the notice boards of the respective departments and halls, allowing students to verify their inclusion and apply for any necessary objections or corrections. The deadline for submitting objections or corrections to the BRUCSU Election Commission is 5 pm on November 24, 2025. Once these objections have been resolved, the final voter list will be published on November 26, 2025.
In preparation for a more festive and participatory election process, the polling date was rescheduled from December 29, 2025, to December 24, 2025. This decision was communicated in a letter by the BRUCSU Election Commission on Thursday evening.
Following the revised election schedule, nomination papers will be available from November 27 to December 1. Candidates must submit their nominations between December 2 and 3, with scrutiny taking place on December 4 and 6. The initial list of candidates will be published on December 7, and any objections to this list will be addressed on December 8. Withdrawal of nomination papers is scheduled for December 9, and the final list of candidates will be published on December 10.
The university will hold elections for BRUCSU and HSU from 9 am to 4 pm on December 24, 2025, marking the first such elections since the university’s establishment in 2008. This event is expected to be a significant milestone in the university’s history.
