Dhaka: The Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union (BRFU) is set to launch its Level-1 referees training course tomorrow, as announced in a press release today. This initiative marks a significant step in enhancing the skills and qualifications of rugby referees in the region.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 40 trainees will participate in this three-day course, which is organized by the BRFU. The course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to officiate in upcoming competitions, thereby strengthening the sport's foundation in Bangladesh.
The training will be conducted by SMA Shamim and Nazmus Sakib, both of whom are World Rugby Level-2 international referees. Nazmus Sakib also holds the role of an educator, bringing an added layer of expertise to the program. The course is coordinated by BRFU member Md Abdul Alim, who plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of this training initiative.
