Bangladesh Parliament Journalists’ Association has decided to hold its general elections on September 2, 2022.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the association’s executive committee at its office at the parliament building on Sunday.
The association also decided to hold its next general meeting on the day of the election. The meeting will be held at 10:00am while the election will continue from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
The association approved a 142-member draft voter list for the election. The Election Commission will publish the election schedule and final voter list on a later date.
The matter of including new members to the association was also discussed in the meeting. The association decided that the newly elected committee will take steps in this regard.
Shajahan Sarder, ex-President of the association, joined the meeting as special guest. BPJA Vice President Harun Al Rashid and General Secretary Kamran Reza Chowdhury, among others, were present at the meeting.
