Dhaka: Boishakhi Sports Festival: Boishakhi Sports Festival, marking the Bengali New Year 1433, will be celebrated at Paltan Ground tomorrow. State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque is expected to be present at the opening ceremony as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Moushumi Industries Limited will organize the day-long events, which will feature the traditional rural sports of the country. The sports include archery, volleyball, sepak takraw, kho kho, kabaddi, latikhela, and boli khela, the most prominent traditional wrestling sport of Chattogram. Youth and Sports Ministry secretary Mahbub-Ul-Alam will be present at the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
