Dhaka:The body of a woman, estimated to be around 28 years old, was discovered hanging in a bathroom at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday morning.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the discovery was made by a cleaner who was working in the bathroom located between wards 110 and 111. The cleaner then alerted hospital authorities, who subsequently notified the Shahbag Police Station.
Md Selim, sub-inspector of the DMCH police outpost, reported that the woman's body was found hanging from a water pipe at approximately 10:30 am. The police were informed but had not yet been joined by officials from the Shahbag Police Station at the scene.
There was a cut on one of the woman's hands, which was bleeding. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, with authorities still determining whether it was a case of homicide or suicide.
