Sylhet: Police have recovered the body of a youth who went missing while fishing in the Kushiara River in Fenchuganj upazila in the district. The deceased was identified as Phules Mia, 22, son of Omar Mia of Pitaitikar village in the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a fire service diver team of Sylhet recovered his body from the rail bridge area of the Kushiara River this afternoon, said Fire Service Team Leader Shafiqul Islam. Earlier, Phules Mia went missing while diving in the Kushiara River on Tuesday morning, Shafiqul added.
Upon receiving the news, a fire service team went on a rescue operation and later, recovered his body from under the water, he said.
