Gomostapur: Police of Gomostapur thana in Chapainawabganj district recovered the body of an Adibasi child from a pond at Sheikhpura village under Parbatipur union of Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district this morning. The deceased was identified as Nepal Toppo, 5, son of Dulal Toppo of the mentioned area. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police and family sources revealed that on November 16, Nepal went out from home but did not return, prompting a general diary to be recorded with Gomostapur police station on November 17. Today, locals noticed a floating body in a nearby pond and informed the police, who subsequently recovered the body from the scene. The Officer in Charge (OC) of Gomostapur Thana, Md Khairul Basar, confirmed the incident.
