Dhaka:State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj today instructed printing firms to ensure the delivery of textbooks for government primary schools by November 5.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hajjaj emphasized adherence to the prescribed standards and specifications for textbook printing. He warned that firms using outdated machinery for printing from next year would be disqualified from future contracts.

During his visit to 'Bornomala Press' and 'Global Printing Equipment' in the Matuail area of the capital, the state minister inspected the printing process, the machinery, the quality of the paper, and the overall production quality. He stressed that firms must consider their capacity limitations before participating in tenders and that the quality of books cannot be compromised due to technical limitations.

Hajjaj also identified inconsistencies in color arrangement and alignment in some books and issued a stern warning to prevent such defects. He underscored the importance of strengthening quality control and oversight mechanisms and insisted that every book must meet the established standards.

The state minister urged printing firms to meet the delivery deadline and prepare for using modern, high-capacity machinery in the future. Representatives from the NCTB, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, and relevant printing firms attended the inspection.
