Boalkhali: Police have arrested Jubo League leader Md Shawkat Hossain Khokon from his residence in Boalkhali this morning. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Boalkhali Thana, stated that acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid at Khokon's house around 7:30 am but initially could not locate him.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, law enforcement officers eventually discovered Khokon hiding in a specially constructed tunnel beneath the tiles of his house. Khokon, who serves as the joint general secretary of the upazila Jubo League, has been actively involved in organizing party events since August 5 of the previous year. His activities have been promoted through various channels including social media, wall writings, and posters.
Following his arrest, Md Shawkat Hossain Khokon has been sent to court for further proceedings.
