Dhaka: BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has emphasized the importance of transforming the country's manpower into human resources to build a new Bangladesh, drawing inspiration from the July Uprising. Khasru highlighted this vision while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar titled "Skilled Manpower-The Foundation of Nation Building," held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) auditorium in Kakrail. The seminar was organized to mark Public Engineering Day and the 55th founding anniversary of IDEB.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khasru stressed that the dream of building a new Bangladesh hinges on converting existing manpower into a resource that will drive the country's future development. He underscored the importance of a merit-based approach, saying that the country's progress is unattainable without technology and merit-based development. In the current era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the world has made significant advances, and to reach that level, Bangladesh must become a technology-dependent nation.

Amir Khasru also announced BNP's plan to create ten million jobs for the unemployed if the party comes to power, explaining that this is not merely a political statement but a well-researched plan. The proposed job creation will focus on sectors such as agriculture, cottage industries, IT, business, and others. He criticized the current government's focus on mega-projects, stating that BNP would instead invest in these sectors across the country.

The BNP leader further emphasized the need for high aspirations and leadership to elevate Bangladesh from its current state. He reiterated his party's commitment to allocate five percent of the annual budget for education and health, ensuring free primary healthcare and education for all, while introducing technical education from the primary school level.
