Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has postponed the announcement of its nomination for the Madaripur-1 constituency. This decision was confirmed through a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir had earlier announced the names of the party’s nominees for 237 parliamentary seats on November 3. The announcement was made at a press conference held at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, where Kamal Zaman Mollah was named as the party’s candidate for Madaripur-1, covering the Shibchar Upazila.

The press release stated that due to unavoidable circumstances, the nomination announcement for the Madaripur-1 constituency has been postponed. This development comes ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, adding an element of uncertainty to the party’s strategy in that region.
