BNP Pledges 1.5 Crore Jobs Within 18 Months if Elected, Says Mirza Fakhrul

Thakurgaon: Job opportunities will be created for 1.5 crore people in the country within 18 months if BNP comes to power in the next election, said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today. “It’s the pledge of our party chairman Tarique Rahman to create jobs for 1.5 crore people,” he stated while addressing an election rally in Auliapur Union of Sadar Upazila this afternoon.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mirza Fakhrul, who is also the BNP’s candidate from Thakurgaon-1 constituency, outlined a plan that includes the introduction of a family card scheme for women, aimed at poverty alleviation. “With this card, women will directly be benefited to meet up the daily needs of their families,” he mentioned. He also announced that agricultural cards would be introduced for farmers, providing various facilities through the cards.



Additionally, Fakhrul assured that easy and affordable healthcare services would be ensured for commoners through health cards. Addressing the upcoming general elections, the BNP secretary general stated that the polls would be held on February 12 next year to restore democracy in the country.



“I request you to vote for ‘sheaf of paddy’. If you support me, I will try to speak for the people in the parliament,” he urged. “If elected, I assure you to work with utmost sincerity for the development of rural people and ensuring the safety of people of all religions in Bangladesh,” he concluded.
