BNP Organizes Free Medical Camp for Over 3,000 People in Netrakona

Netrakona: More than 3,000 people in the hilly areas here today received free medical services through a day-long medical camp at the Lengura School and College ground under Kalmakanda Upazila. Lengura Union BNP organized the campaign in collaboration with Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB).



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BNP Central Committee’s Legal Affairs Secretary Barrister Md. Kayser Kamal inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest. A total of 80 specialist doctors from Dhaka and other regions provided free consultancy and medicines to the patients.



Medical services were offered in 11 departments, including ophthalmology, orthopedics, nephrology, ENT, cardiology, medicine, neuro medicine, dermatology and venereology, chest diseases, pediatrics, and gynecology and obstetrics. Patients expressed their satisfaction and extended gratitude for the free treatment.



Barrister Kaiser Kamal stated that he has been regularly organizing medical camps to serve people at the grassroots level. He emphasized that BNP is a people-centric party and has always worked for the welfare of the people. If they come to power with the people’s mandate, a health card will be introduced for every family.



He added that a total of seven free medical camps and eye camps have been organized in his constituency covering Kalmakanda and Durgapur. Parveen Gagra, who came to see a doctor for his allergy and severe itching, received consultation with five types of medicine free of cost. She acclaimed such initiatives taken by a political leader, saying it helped ease the hardships of the people in the hilly regions.
