Lalmonirhat: BNP Organizing Secretary (Rangpur division) Principal Asadul Habib Dulu today emphasized the necessity of maintaining religious harmony across the country. ‘It is the humanitarian duty of every citizen to maintain religious harmony and goodwill,’ Dulu stated while speaking to reporters after visiting the Sakwa Sarbojonin Durga Temple in Kulaghat Union.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dulu highlighted the historical context of the nation’s unity, pointing out that the War of Independence resulted from the collective sacrifice of people from all religions. He explained that individuals from Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, and Christian communities stood together and sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the country.
Dulu stressed the importance of inter-religious cooperation and urged everyone to focus on ensuring the security of women and children during the festival. During a meeting with organizers at the Sakwa Sarbojonin Durga Temple, he called for cooperation from all parties to ensure the smooth and peaceful completion of Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of Bengali Hindus.
