Habiganj: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) hosted an Iftar and a Doa Mahfil in the district today. Shahjahanpur Union No-6 unit of BNP of Madhabpur Upazila organized the event at Teliapara Bekuia Bazar in Madhabpur upazila in the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Assistant Local Government Affairs Secretary of BNP National Executive Committee and BNP Media Cell member and former Member of Parliament (MP) Shammi Akhter attended the event as the chief guest. A special prayer was offered at the event seeking sound health of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
The event was graced by the presence of Habiganj District BNP Joint Convener Dr Ahmudur Rahman Abdal, Chairman of Chatian Union Kased Chowdhury, and Habiganj District Swechhasebak Dal Joint Convener Saimun Hussain Chowdhury. BNP Shahjahanpur Union President Alfaz Miah Mahaldar chaired the gathering, which brought together notable party members and supporters.
