BNP Holds Meeting with Commonwealth Delegation in Dhaka

Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) held a meeting with the Commonwealth delegation this evening. The meeting took place at Hotel Serina at Banani, according to BNP Media Cell Member Shayrul Kabir Khan.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the visiting Commonwealth delegation was led by Linford Andrews, Adviser to the Commonwealth ‘Electoral Support’ Branch and Head of ‘Pre-Election Assessment’. The delegation’s visit is part of a pre-election assessment process.



BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Chairperson’s Advisory Council Member Dr. Ziauddin Haidar, Joint Secretary General Humayun Kabir, and Organizing Secretary Shama Obaed were present at the meeting. The discussions are believed to focus on the electoral process and the political climate in Bangladesh ahead of the upcoming elections.
