BNP Govt Committed to Ensuring Active Opposition Role in Parliament: Chief Whip

Dhaka: Chief Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad, Nurul Islam, has declared that the BNP government is dedicated to ensuring the effective participation of the opposition in all parliamentary activities. He made this statement during a meeting with opposition members at the Chief Whip’s office in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the meeting involved a discussion led by Opposition Chief Whip Nahid Islam, accompanied by MPs Rafiqul Islam Khan, Abul Hasnat, and Nurul Islam. The opposition delegation and the Chief Whip engaged in detailed conversations about the nation’s current political landscape, concentrating on the establishment of a ‘government of consensus.’



The discussions underscored the need to enhance the dynamism and participatory nature of parliamentary activities in the national interest. Chief Whip Nurul Islam expressed optimism that the talks with the opposition chief whip and other lawmakers would contribute significantly to making the parliament more vibrant and effective.
