BNP Expels Four Sitakunda Upazila Leaders Over Violence Charges

Sitakunda: BNP has expelled its four Sitakunda upazila leaders on charges of resorting to violence over party nomination. The party confirmed it in a release signed by its senior joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi here today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the expelled leaders are Sitakunda upazila Swechchhasebak Dal president Alauddin Moni, general secretary Helal Uddin Babar, Sitakunda Pourashava convener Mamun, and Jubo Dal Sonaichari unit general secretary Momin Uddin Mintu. These individuals have been removed from all posts, including the party’s primary membership.



The release detailed that these leaders were involved in activities against public interest, including incidents of violence and road blockades at Kadamrasul, Bhatiari Bazar, and Jalil gate on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway. These actions took place after Monday afternoon in protest over the party nomination.
