Dhaka: A meeting between Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and a delegation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) commenced at the State Guest House Jamuna this evening. The meeting was initiated to discuss significant national issues ahead of the scheduled elections.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the three-member delegation was led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. The BNP media cell reported that the delegation arrived at the Chief Adviser’s residence shortly before 6 pm.
The delegation included BNP Standing Committee members Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Salahuddin Ahmed. Prior to their entry into Jamuna, Salahuddin Ahmed informed reporters, “We had sought an appointment with the Chief Adviser. He has given us time at 6 pm today. We are going to meet him now.”
During the meeting, discussions are expected to cover the upcoming national election scheduled for February next year, various administrative matters, and the overall situation in the country.
