BNP Delegation Holds Strategic Meeting with Chief Election Commissioner

Dhaka: A delegation of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), led by its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, today held a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin ahead of the 13th national elections and referendum. The discussions took place in the CEC’s office at Nirbhayan Bhaban, Agargaon, marking a significant event in the political landscape as parties gear up for the upcoming elections.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting commenced at approximately 4:45 pm and involved a thorough dialogue between the BNP representatives and the Election Commission. The five-member BNP delegation included prominent figures such as BNP Standing Committee member and Election Steering Committee Chairman Nazrul Islam Khan, BNP Chairman Advisory Council member Ismail Zabiullah, former acting Election Commission Secretary Dr Mohammad Zakaria, and Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal. Their presence underscored the importance the BNP places on ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process.



Bangladesh Election Commission Secretariat Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed was also present at the meeting, providing an official link to the election body’s operations. The engagement between the BNP and the CEC is viewed as a critical step in aligning electoral strategies and addressing any concerns ahead of the national polls.
