Dhaka: A high-level delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, at the Pakistan High Commission in the capital’s Gulshan area today. The meeting, which ran from 6:25pm to 7:15pm, was followed by a dinner hosted in the evening, as reported by Shairul Kabir Khan of the BNP media cell.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BNP delegation was led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and included standing committee members Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Selima Rahman. Former Home Minister and the party’s Vice Chairman Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, along with BNP international affairs committee member Shama Obaid, were also in attendance.
On the Pakistani side, the meeting included former High Commissioner Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, current High Commissioner Imran Haider, State Bank of Pakistan Governor Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Ministry Directors General Ilyas Mahmud Nizami and Muhammad Umair Latif, Director Dildar Ali Abro, and Deputy Chief of Protocol Hafiz Ullah.
