Jashore: BNP candidate Sabira Nazmul Munni held a views-exchange meeting today with retired army personnel, seeking their support for the victory of the “sheaf of paddy” symbol in the upcoming national elections in the Jashore-2 (Jhikargacha-Chowgacha) constituency. The meeting, chaired by retired Major Mohammad Sayed, took place at the Jhikargacha Upazila BNP office.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the gathering saw the presence of several notable figures, including Jhikargachha upazila BNP Senior Vice President Khorshed Alam, Organising Secretary Muradunnabi Murad, and Jhikargachha Upazila Retired Soldiers Welfare Foundation Senior Vice President Sheikh Jamshed Ali. Other attendees were Senior Warrant Officer (Retd) Joynal Hossain, Munayem Hossain, Firoz Ali, Shafiq Khan, and retired sergeants Emdad Ali and Yusuf Ali.
During the discussion, Sabira Nazmul Munni urged all attendees to extend their cooperation to help secure the victory of the “sheaf of paddy” in the forthcoming national polls slated for February 2026.
